We are planning a two day discussion at Hoxton Hall between members of the local community and local performing artists.  The subject is the role of the artist and the purpose of the arts.

It’s impossible for the sector to deal with the crisis in the arts if it persists in excluding non-commercial artists on the margin. We want to interrogate, with the community, the value and notion of our survival. What are we for, what is it for and do we want it? An honest and open debate in a time of extreme crisis.
